Cakes on the sideboard at Town Hall Lodge Tea Room SwanageWe are proud to offer a tasty selection of cakes and pastries alongside an inviting and eclectic selection of hot and cold home-made food all freshly made or baked in our home.

Our huge french dresser is the perfect place to present the sumptuous array of our traditional baking, including old time favourites Victoria sponge, Coffee and Walnut cake and Date loaf and fruit cakes absolutely bursting with juicy, alcohol infused fruits and crunchy nuts. Our Cream Teas are served with Judies daily baked fruit and plain scones and dollops of Dorset clotted cream and really yummy strawberry conserve, and if you are early enough, the scones will be hot from the oven.

Salads and sandwiches are freshly made to order and contain locally grown produce when in season, - you can see the tomatoes and herbs tumbling from their pots on the wall outside. Town Hall Lodge soups are prepared from fresh unadulterated ingredients, making them suitable for coeliacs and served with chunky slices of granary bread and butter for the hungrier and less discerning appetite.

Our open plan kitchen and dining area create a homely atmosphere where you can see your dishes being created, and revel in the tempting smells frequently escaping from the ovens.

The outdoor dining tables nestle by a cobbled courtyard and bask in the summer sun protected by lovely Purbeck stone buildings, creating the perfect ambience for a leisurely lunch. The peaceful setting and our warm welcome make it an elusive dining experience away from the hustle and bustle. So you can relax outside, enjoy the sunshine, read our daily papers or escape into the cool ambience of the tea room whilst your food is prepared.

If you are touring Tea Rooms in Dorset, Town Hall Lodge Tea Room in Swanage is one you really shouldn't miss.
